The past few weeks have been crazy-busy for me, what with Thanksgiving and holiday prep, my Escape to Thailand events, not to mention my birthday. Has it been crazy-busy for you too? In that case, I invite you to relax and take a break as I share some news bits about Asian Mint and my Nikky Feeding Souls projects.
Sharing Thanksgiving memories with Dallas Observer
Dallas Observer recently published an article by writer Lauren Drewes Daniels where local personalities shared their favorite Thanksgiving memories. I had the honor of taking part in its making. My contribution is a story about the mannequin challenge and my love for pecan pie. You can check out the article here: https://bit.ly/2LNMr8z.
Thank you so much, Lauren and Dallas Observer, for including me in your story.
CraveDFW and Katy Trail Weekly mentions Escape to Thailand
My Escape to Thailand series of virtual cooking experiences has been my baby for the past few months. It gives me a tremendous opportunity to feed souls through Thai food, culture, and travel despite the current Covid-19 restrictions. It’s also a fun way to share my personal stories of growing up in Thailand.
For the latest leg of my series, I showed my participating Soul Foodies how holidays are like in Bangkok, as well as how to cook my cold-weather favorites: tom yum/tom kha and pad Thai. As a special guest, I had with me my soul-sister Priya Patel of The Intention Table, who shared insights on mindful eating for the holidays.
This Escape to Thailand event got a mention on a CraveDFW piece by Steven Doyle. It’s also one of the news bits on a Katy Trail Weekly article by David Mullen. Thank you so much for this mention! You can read the CraveDFW piece here: http://bit.ly/3p6GmSL, and the one on Katy Trail Weekly here: http://bit.ly/3gWu0tC.
These are all the news bits I have to share for now! Until next time.
